Built by LEED certified materials, this Modern Penthouse was designed by Joel Sanders Architect for the client Blesso Properties in New York. A green architecture design demonstrating that you do not have to forgo high style in the interest of saving the Earth. An Exterior wood decking and vegetation flow into the heart of the loft forming a planted core, a sustainable living green veil that screens the public living spaces and dining room from the private master bedroom. The wooden stair bulkhead doubles like a skylight and offers access to a roof terrace planted with sedum and grasses. This green core is tactile as well as a visual, so that the owner can bathe surrounded by lush vegetation visible via a glass wall that separates the bathroom from this planted zone.
