The SODAE Home is a unique home created by Dutch architectural firm VMX Architects. This house is located in Amstelveen, Amsterdam, located precisely at Kostverlorenkade; an island measuring 1200m2. This home was built on 500m2, and the initial concept is the perception from the landscape, the tall buildings away from the Zuid As plus the Rembrandt Tower too as the view with the aeroplanes travelling to and from Schiphol. The living room and kitchen are arranged in a loft-like space for the very first floor. The a lot more intimate areas (bedrooms and bathrooms) are situated for the ground floor, orientated towards the garden on the backside. The basement contains an additional programme such as a fitness room and a home cinema. The home forms an object in the landscape; the island acts as the plinth.
